eTown Presents Nolan Gasser & The Mighty Mighty: Why You Like It!

eTown presents **“Why You Like It! Decoding Musical Taste — Live Experience,”** an immersive concert-lecture led by composer, musicologist, author, and Music Genome Project architect **Dr. Nolan Gasser**. It takes place at **1535 Spruce Street, Boulder, CO 80302** (date/time not specified). The show blends **live performance, storytelling, and research** from neuroscience, psychology, and culture to reveal what shapes your musical preferences and why music hits so deeply. Dr. Gasser performs with his virtuoso band, **The Mighty Mighty**. The format is designed to be **artistically flexible**, often featuring **guest vocalists and musicians** tailored to the local market, with collaborators of Grammy-winning caliber. A standout element is **interactive audience participation** via the **Why You Like It companion app**, guided live from the stage. Throughout the performance, attendees respond to prompts that map their musical identity. After the show, participants receive a **personalized playlist** generated from their responses, extending the experience beyond the venue. It’s ideal for music lovers, curious minds, and anyone who wants a deeper, more personal connection to what they listen to.
