Solo Exhibition By MELÓN
Join us for the opening of Still Figuring It Out, a solo exhibition by Melón, presented by The Residency at FLORA.
Marking the culmination of his month-long residency, Still Figuring It Out embraces the wonderfully unfinished business of becoming. Through paintings shaped by graffiti, typography, relationships and everyday life, Melón turns personal experiences into open-ended stories – leaving just enough unsaid for viewers to find themselves within them.
A Honolulu-based artist with roots in Chicago’s graffiti community, Melón moves freely between murals, fine art, and design. His work is bold, layered and full of motion, pairing dynamic textures and letterforms with figures whose identities remain intentionally unresolved. The result feels both deeply personal and familiar: a reflection of the people, places and passing encounters that make us who we are – or, at least, who we are still figuring out how to become.
Celebrate the opening with an evening of art, music by DJ Stevie, drinks and community from 6-9pm at The Residency at FLORA Gallery. Come curious. Stay awhile. No one is expected to have it all figured out.
The exhibition will remain on view until October 31 with gallery hours by appointment.
