Sweded 2 Death

Sweded 2 Death is a DIY horror film festival where local teams remake iconic horror movies in just one week on a $0 budget. It takes place at The Lyric in Fort Collins, CO on Friday, October 16 from 7–10pm (doors at 6:15pm). You’ll watch a lineup of short “sweded” horror remakes made by community members. The twist: no CGI, no AI, and no green screens—everything is handmade and shot in-camera. The night includes live awards plus an Audience Favorite chosen by everyone in the room. Tickets are $14, making it an easy, affordable night out for horror fans. It’s ideal for creatives, filmmakers, and anyone who loves scrappy, inventive cinema. Interested in participating? There are official rules and a team interest form available online.
