Colorado Mountain Club New and Prospective Member Meeting

Colorado Mountain Club’s Northern Colorado section is hosting a free New and Prospective Member Meeting. It’s open to the public and designed for anyone curious about joining CMC or getting more involved. The meeting takes place at the Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce. You’ll meet experienced CMC members, trip leaders, and instructors and learn how the club works locally and statewide. CMC (founded in 1912) emphasizes responsible outdoor leadership, ethics, and conservation alongside adventure. Attendees can explore opportunities to build skills and leadership through activities like hiking, climbing, backpacking, skiing, snowshoeing, and first aid. It’s a good fit for outdoor enthusiasts looking for community, education, and organized outings. What makes it special is the direct access to seasoned leaders and a wide menu of training and trips backed by a long-standing Colorado outdoor organization.
