OR Nurse (RN) | Longmont, Colorado

An exceptional opportunity is available for a registered nurse with specialized skills in cardiac thoracic surgery within operating room settings. This 13-week contract role is based in Longmont, CO, at a Level 1 trauma center recognized for high standards of care and diverse surgical cases ranging from general to neuro and plastic surgery. Key qualifications include a minimum of three years of cardio-thoracic surgery experience, preferably with expertise as both a circulator and scrub nurse. Candidates must hold current AHA BLS certification and a Colorado OR Compact RN license. Familiarity with Epic electronic medical records and prior experience in Level 1 or 2 trauma facilities are essential. This position requires practicing nurses who have handled a variety of surgical cases and are comfortable floating within scope to other operating rooms as needed. Schedule and Duties: • Day shifts: Three 12-hour shifts (06:45 AM to 07:15 PM), with occasional variation in start times • Weekend and on-call shifts required as per unit needs (approximately six shifts per eight-week period) • Perform circulator and/or scrub nurse roles during cardiovascular thoracic surgeries • Support surgical teams in various specialties including GU/GYN, ENT, and trauma cases • Maintain patient safety and sterile environments throughout all procedures Working in a Level 1 trauma center means exposure to complex cases and multidisciplinary teamwork in a fast-paced, rewarding setting.
