On Saturday, November 14, we’re inviting you into the same spirit of courage and possibility that launched Trailblazers in 2017. Join us for our first Summit Stories Mini-Film Festival featuring short documentaries that uplift stories of bold women+ in the outdoors and beyond. This incredible evening of powerful short films and real-talk will feature storytelling from women who turned obstacles into opportunity and claimed a place for themselves–and the rest of us!–in the outdoors. Stay for a live panel with BIPOC leaders who refused to wait for permission to belong. Panelists include two of the women featured in these films: Cheyenne Smith and Brooke Goudy! Come be inspired. Come be in community. Come be part of the story. The event is appropriate for ages 10 and above. Featured films: “Shifting Lines”, “Pedaling with Purpose”, and “Wasfia” Cost: $12 Tickets Come early to enjoy snacks and beverages, register to win prizes, and mingle with new and old friends! We’re incredibly grateful to Neptune Mountaineering, a local and woman-owned Outdoor Retail Store for partnering with us in hosting this event. This event is a fundraiser for our Trailblazers Program: a sliding scale year-round outing series created by and for women+ who identify as Black, Indigenous and People of Color. The program offers joyful, safe, self-led, accessible opportunities to recreate, build outdoor skills, and commune in nature together.
