Trouble’s Braids is a musical duo from Boulder, Colorado that creates dynamic folk music with teeth. They have been featured artists at the Boulder Theater, The St. Julien Hotel, Spirit Hound Distillery, Bricks on Main, Trident Cafe, Roxy on Broadway, Rock Inn Estes Park, Bootstrap Brewing, Gold Hill Store, Laughing Goat, Beyond the Mountain Brewing, Roots Music Project, and many others. They'll be throwing down a 3-hour set of heartfelt covers and dynamic originals on July 26th from 6-9pm in the St. Julien lobby lounge. Incredible cocktails will be available. Trouble’s Braids combines poignant lyricism, rich female and male harmonies, and great hooks with an unflinching curiosity about the dark and hidden corners of the human experience, all with a wink and a nod that invites the audience to come play. Their influences are broad and deep, drawing inspiration from classic songwriters like Bob Dylan, John Prine, and Lucinda Williams, as well as more contemporary acts like Big Thief, Mitski, The Decemberists, Neutral Milk Hotel, The Mountain Goats, PJ Harvey, Tom Waits and Nick Cave.
